Our Visit to George Street Kindy

We visited the kindy to have a look at their amazing new sandpit.  We asked questions about their sandpit and even got to have a play.  We would love to have an amazing sandpit like this at Waiuku Primary School.











Is it cool?
Yes

How much space does it take up?
A lot

What do you learn, discover and play?
To share, play with toys, build castles, road work, put water trough pipes, problem solving, transporting and digging holes.

Why do you have a new sandpit?
All the sand and their old sandpit were getting old.

Why did you put a balance beam?
So the kids can learn how to balance

Are you happy that you have a sandpit?
Yes but Theo said “no”

How long did it take to build?
Just over 2 weeks

Do you like it?
Yes

How did you make it?
A digger, wood, rocks and sand

Who built it?
Murray from Eden Gardens

How much money did it cost?
$30,000 Thirty thousand dollars

Is the sandpit fun?
Yes

Term 2 this year

How do you cover it up?
Green covers

Where do you keep all the toys?
In the green shed

Yes
